I grew up in Tillsonburg, Ontario, Canada and continue to call this home.
For 25 years I was the sole proprietor of a Manufacturer’s Rep company that serviced the building materials supply sector, representing many North American and International buyers and sellers.
Over my business career I had the privilege of traveling throughout Canada and the United States including many European and Caribbean countries.
In 2014 I had a growing desire to transition into a Real Estate career which I continue to actively work in. I have a Broker designation as set out by the laws of the Ontario Real Estate Association (OREA) for trading in real estate in Ontario, Canada. For the past 10 years working for T.L. Willaert Realty Ltd. Brokerage the same Canadian real estate brokerage when I obtained my real estate licence in 2004.
In 2024 I decided to explore and expand my real estate career outside of Canada, settling on a location that was near and dear to my heart, the Dominican Republic. My wife Jean had the pleasure of travelling to this beautiful country many times over the years for both business and pleasure; so selecting the DR was an easy decision.
I spent several months researching which real estate location and company I could see myself working with in the Dominican Republic. As my list of eligible agencies was narrowed down, I set my focus on Reliable Realty SRL, ideally located in the heart of the beach-town of El Cortecito, in the city of Bavaro, next to Punta Cana. After many phone calls and emails with the Broker, Maria Williams, I decided to fly down to the DR and work alongside Maria for several weeks while learning more about the market, the area, the various properties, and Reliable Realty’s ethics and business model.
The rest is history. as they say. I knew I had found the right company. This philosophy, as expressed on the Agencies “About Us” website page really resonated with me. “Here at Reliable Realty, we are committed to being the best, not the biggest“.
